XXIV International Dog Show. Valladolid
25th of February

It was the first time we've been to a show in Valladolid without frozen grass crunching underfoot. I don't know if it has anything to do with the much-talked-about climate change, but it was almost hot at times. We like visiting Valladolid, it's a show that's worth the effort, even if only to look at dogs.
This time we had a Japanese judge, Tomio Fujihata, who judged the entire group 9. I am fascinated by these all-rounders. The patience and vision they must have! Peggy wasn't too animated, she doesn't feel like collaborating too much these days, she gets bored I think. I reckon that dogs, although they are creatures of habit, enjoy a change, something new. Even so, the judge kindly gave us a CAC / CACIB. BOB went to the dog. Thanks to the judge for giving us a couple of points more for the collection. But above all our thanks go to the organising committee of the show who gave us a great show in pleasant surroundings. As for Peggy, if she wants to stop showing, then so be it. She has 7 CAC's, 4 CACIB and numerous group placings, not bad for a Frenchie girl. But unlucky with the slippery "Obligatory point". Up to now that is. Perhaps it's best that way.
