French Bulldog

"Pablo, a long story"
Pilar Hannan

This Article is dedicated to “them”. To all dogs, of whatever breed, who due to fashion trends find themselves in terrible conditions. Especially, and only for personal reason, to the French Bulldog, and to one of these in particular, Pablo (Paul).

Pablo el FrenchieOne long year later, Pablo has found what we all hope will be his definitive home and family. Perhaps he will always have that look in his eyes as if he’s expecting all the good in the world to suddenly vanish. But, if his luck holds, he will spend his best days in France, the land of his ancestors. The land of “Les Bouledogues de la Villette”.
Many people deserve a pat on the back for this happy outcome. For him to be able to enjoy his new home, the comings and goings of many people have been constant since his rescue from the misery that his life had become.
His is a complicated case. A sick dog, with all the bad habits he had acquired in his attempt simply to stay alive. His tendency to defend with tooth and claw the little he had, his need to constantly mark his pathetic territory to alleviate his loneliness and anguish.
It hasn’t been easy to for him to be admitted as part of a group or family. It has been necessary to find where he can feel at ease, be the leader. Free of the need to contest everything with other dogs or pets. It hasn’t been easy.
His new home is surrounded by the beaches and woodlands of the French Riviera. Where his new family understand his needs and love him. Let’s hope that this is his definitive home.

Thanks to all who have played their part: Raquel, Esteban, Victoria, Caroll, Abdalla, in special to Fran, Chus and Chris, to all those who have suffered with Pablo, and above all to Arlette & Marthe, president of the A.R.B.F..
